HOMIES was created by Jake De Rito with the goal of helping the community through the outlet of fashion. Through volunteering, going on immersion trips and working at a summer camp, Jake found a passion for working with others, for others. In 2016, HOMIES was created by using a cereal box as a stencil, spray paint as a medium, and a t-shirt as a canvas. With a love for design and the drive to give back, he wanted to create a brand that was something more. Inspired by the community, he wanted to name the brand after the community surrounding him, his homies. HOMIES is the acronym for “Happiness Over Money In Every Situation”, where homies spread the love all across the nation. By donating 10% of profits to charity, HOMIES is able to help improve our communities and spread happiness around the world.
